Shadows of the Skyborn introduces you to a world of staggering inequality – elites live in floating cities, while their less fortunate counterparts struggle to survive in the dirt below. A Double, Kichira, is sent to investigate and to find out if the murder was just politics as usual, or the beginning of something more dangerous. Shadows of the Skyborn is a fast-moving tale about the tradeoffs between ambition, idealism, and survival, and how three people’s choices change the course of a nation.

This was a great short story. It drew me into to the world of the Skyborn and left me wanting to read more. I highly recommend it.
An excellent novel by a wonderful writer. Ms. Hammer develops her characters skillfully, and creates a thought-provoking plot. Highly recommended!
Imaginative and exhilarating! I quickly fell into the story and characters of this short work. The main character is a force to be reckoned with and the world Hammer has created is an intriguing one. I look forward to reading more!
Do emotions exists? Not in this unforgiving world. This was a great short read! Felt like Sci-fi meeting Gattaca.
I really liked this novelette. I'm already attached to the concept of doubles, the characters and the world and I hope that the Author continues to write about them!
